The Bundles Add-on is a way to streamline and systemise your pricing, quoting & invoicing.

With a ServiceM8 bundle you can set up a single item that packages up labour and materials, so that when you sell that package, you can just add one line onto your quotes or invoices and everything is included.

You can also edit the pricing of items in the package on a job-by-job basis, so if you need to make part of the bundle slightly more expensive for a particular job you can do so without affecting any other jobs.

Why use bundles?

  • The description of what’s included can help the customer focus on value and gives you a chance to talk about things like the relevant accreditations you have and extra ‘soft’ benefits like ‘installation in less than 2 weeks’.
  • Bundles hide the individual pricing of materials from customers, meaning that you’ll get less questions about the profit you’re making on particular items.
  • No need to edit your quote and invoice templates to hide individual item pricing as only bundle headline and description is shown
  • You can ensure that you remember to include things that perhaps you normally forget – for example, when I used to quote for boiler installations, I went through a phase of forgetting the waste disposal costs.
  • When setting up a bundle you’ll see the overall profit you’re making on that complete service, which means that you can ensure that you stay profitable
  • It makes it easier for other staff members in your company to provide quotes to customers.

To start using this add-on think about services that you offer that include a combination of labour and parts. Your website can be a good place to look at for ideas on what to start with.

For example if you install solar panels, then you can put together a solar panel and battery storage installation bundle with all of the things that you typically include.
