When creating your email and SMS templates, make sure that you use company ‘placeholders’ wherever possible.

These are the fields that pull in things like your company name, address or office phone number/email.

This company information is pulled from the settings > preferences > company information section of ServiceM8.

This means that when you change your phone number, or address, or even company name, you only have to update them in the company information section once, rather than having to hunt through EVERY template and form to find where you’ve added them to change them individually.

ServiceM8 make it really easy for you to add these placeholders….

On email and SMS templates, just look for the Insert Field button and scroll to the bottom of the list for the Your Company and Your Office fields.

Just click on them to add them to the email / sms templates and they’ll look like something like this –

{vendor.name}

{vendor.email}

etc
